Matthew is ecstatic to be collaborating with Adams Entertainment on their second production at the Birch North Park Theatre. He was the Technical Director and Lighting Designer for the world premiere of their musical, Primal Twang: The Legacy of the Guitar. Matthew holds a BA in Technical Theatre from San Diego State, and a Masters in Lighting Design from Boston University.  Matthew was privileged to assist 2 time Tony winner Donald Holder on the Boston Premiere of August Wilson’s last show, Gem of the Ocean, before it moved to Broadway and was nominated for the Tony award for Best New Play.  Matthew also designed the World Premiere 1 act opera The Game, based on the book by Jack London, which he also designed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.  Matthew is the Lighting Designer in Residence for Lyric Opera San Diego, where his designs include The King and I, The Mikado, Countess Maritza, Abduction from the Seraglio, The Barber of Seville, among others.  Other San Diego shows include Das Barbecu, The Wiz, Secret Garden, the Musical (Billie Award Winner), The Male Intellect, an Oxymoron, and the San Diego Productions of Forbidden Broadway, SVU.  Matthew also designing the lighting for the Cafe Sevilla Flamenco dinner show, and has designed for the San Diego Sun Harbor and San Diego Men’s chorus’, as well as Earl Thomas, in Concert at the Birch North Park Theatre.
